The actual price depends on a combination of the following factors:

Many translation agencies and freelancers charge a minimum fee. This means that a few lines of text could prove costly. This is something we do not do. You pay per actual word.

Discount: Weekly projects
For all clients requiring translation, editing, transcription or proofreading on a weekly basis, we provide special rates. By sending us texts every week, it is easier for us to plan things ahead and also assign a specific translator for all your projects. You could say you have your own private translator. This translator will be familiar with the work you require and can create a glossary, and in a number of cases, even a TM. (The letters ‘TM’ stand for ‘translation memory’ and is created in a special computer program called Trados.) A TM will help a translator be as consistent as he can. This program is able to recognize previously translated parts or even complete sentences that are similar to the part the translator is working on. This makes it easier and therefore less time-consuming. And as we all know …time is money.
In some cases we might not be able to assign you your regular translator, for whatever reason. No problem. The glossary and/or translation memory is forwarded to the ‘new’ translator; hence keeping the work consistent. We will also send the translator a copy of work previously done, so he/she can also keep the style as similar as possible.
Randomly selected
Once every month we randomly select a client who will get an additional discount. Because this is randomly picked it is as much of a surprise to us as it will be to you. Our normal prices are slightly below average, which is nice for you, but after receiving this random discount on top of it, you’ll have a perfect translation for the best price ever. Anybody can be selected; a private individual as well as a company. The more projects you assign to House of Words, the greater your chance of receiving the additional discount. (This discount will differ from time to time and will be between 1% and 10%)
